SCREENS
K2 Corporation has a range of screens designed to remove gross and fine solids (3 mm to 50 mm) from waste water. The screens use stainless steel wedge wire or perforated metal. In many cases the screens can be retrofitted to existing systems with little or no civil work required. Some screen designs incorporate secondary dewatering to form a waste with a volume reduction of 50% or greater.

Applications in which screening systems can be used |
K2 Mega Screen (In Channel Bar Screens)
The K2 Stainless steel racked bar screen is designed for the most robust applications with features that makes it easy to operate and maintain. The screen is constructed of 304 Grade Stainless Steel and incorporating pneumatic operation with engineering plastics for major wear areas. The plastic wear parts are simply replaced to return system to new operating condition. Lubrication is not required.
K2 has a range of screen sizes and can adapt to most conditions above and below the ground including trench width and depth.
The heavy duty design lends the unit to industrial waste applications where difficult solids removal at large quantities is required.
K2 Turbo Screen
K2 Turbo Screen is an effective method of removing solids
from waste water, the unit has a similar function to the Mega
screen although the added advantage of a second dewatering
zone which can reduce the volume to 50 % or more.
The screw conveyor runs parallel with the flow of material
and has a perforated metal screen normal to the flow. When
the solids build up over this screen build up and the level
upstream of the unit starts to rise the system begins to screw
the solids up the conveyor, this continues until the level
of waste water lowers.
